A common problem with garage doors messing up is because when they are installed they are not reinforced properly. The pictures below demonstrate a garage door that was not properly reinforced. The arm that connects the door to the motor rail will snatch that center stile away from the door causing the door to bow and lose its integrity.
This is a problem that can be easily fixed if the top panel is not badly damaged. First, the technician will take some punch angle and mount it to the top of the door to strengthen the integrity of the top panel. Then, he will disconnect the motor arm and place a reinforcement arm to the center stile. By adding these two things to a top panel it will strengthen it and make the operable again. It is a much less expensive fix than replacing the entire top section.
