Is my garage door racked? Well let’s break it down, what is a racked door. Racked is simply garage door lingo for a door that is hanging crooked in the track. This is extremely unstable and could potentially fall out of the track completely.
A racked door can happen due to old springs. If the springs are old they can lose tension which will cause slack in your cables. This causes the weight of the door to not be lifted evenly, resulting in your door falling out of the track. It is fixable, but you should always contact a highly train professional.
